Shizaf sports hall was erected on a top hill dominating Haifa bay. This project was built close to an existing high school serving the large Arab community living in Haifa. The position of the building creates an open space between the building and the school thus integrating the view of the Haifa Bay in the inner campus. The sports hall includes a basketball arena that provides six hundred seats for spectators and additional sports facilities. In addition, a variety of activities for the students and for the local community is held all day long. The buildings facades and the tectonic composition of its parts emphasize its functions and create a sense of identity to a community within the city.
