The sport center demonstrates an attempt to challenge its typical massive, closed and introvert appearance, by breaking down its volume characteristics into two-dimensional screens and creating a dynamic composition of an architectural event on a public plaza. Furthermore, the sports hall is situated in a Mediterranean coastal town, the sport hall doesn’t shy away from confronting the bright light, the warm materials and rich colors abundant in the region. By posing the screen facades and using vivid colors against the light, a rich composition of shadows breaks the mass, making it lighter and more inviting.
